    what counts as a match?

    not close.
    identical.

A byte-for-byte match means every position contains the same value. One changed byte is a different result. The lab checks the full inputs, not a rounded percentage.

Byteriq is an independent educational interface inspired by byte-matching decompilation workflows. It includes readable reference functions and an actual browser-local byte comparator.

    What works here

Read C and assembly examples, search and filter the workspace, compare arbitrary hex or files, calculate SHA-256, inspect byte differences, and export your own results.

    What the examples mean

The C, assembly, and object bytes are curated educational examples. Selecting an example does not run a compiler or an AI model. The equal reference bytes illustrate the comparison process; they are not a server-issued proof of compilation.

    Agents and compilation

No agent fleet, compiler service, compute marketplace, holder rewards, or token contract is connected to this version. A production decompilation service requires an isolated compiler backend and verifiable build records.

    Your data

Files are read locally, never uploaded by this app, and are limited to 10 MB each. History contains comparison metadata and hashes, not file contents. It stays in this browser until you clear it.

    Hex input

Enter pairs of hexadecimal characters with spaces, commas, newlines, or optional 0x prefixes. Empty inputs, invalid characters, and incomplete byte pairs are rejected. File comparisons check all bytes even when the interface shows only the first differences.
